Big jacquard woven cloth with fringes. The so called Dutch "worteldoek", probably originated in the 20's. It used to hang above the fire place on the mantelpiece. At a later time people start to also use it as a tablecloth.

The backside is as lovely as the front, same pattern, slightly different tones, as you can see on the last picture.

Verry bohemian with it's paisley pattern and earthy colors.
